Kim Kardashian is bailing on the rest of her scheduled appearances in Australia -- telling friends she's "distraught" and "can't function" after her recent divorce.
Kim was slated to make an appearance at a thoroughbred horse event in Melbourne -- but skipped it because she just "couldn't handle it."
Sources tell TMZ -- Kim is taking a break from her busy schedule -- saying, "I need to take care of me now, and I can't work for awhile."
No word on how long the former Mrs. Humphries will be laying low.
