Mariah Carey, who famously sang "When You Believe" with Whitney Houston, is speaking out on her passing and attending the funeral.
"I'm almost incapable of talking about this still," Mariah said today on "Good Morning America." "It's very heavy emotionally."
Of working with Whitney, who died in Los Angeles earlier this month, Mariah adds "It was great and I don't think people could ever understand our relationship ... there was always this supposed rivalry in the beginning and then we did the duet and we became friends."
Carey was one of the celebrity guests at Houston's funeral in New Jersey over the weekend, which was also attended by Kevin Costner, Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder.
"It was gorgeous," Mariah says of the service. "The way she went out and the way family dealt with it, I was very moved."
"I loved her. We all loved her. May she rest in peace ... her legend's gonna go on forever."
