It was quite the exciting night on "American Idol" on Wednesday -- where one contestant got the premature boot ... and other was praised for having one of the best performances on the show EVER.
First, let's get to Jermaine Jones.
TMZ broke the story earlier this week that Jones was eliminated from the show because he had four outstanding arrest warrants back home in New Jersey ... and hid them from the show's producers.
Last night's episode showed executive producers Ken Warwick and Nigel Lythgoe confront Jones about the issue in a pre-taped segment. Watch it above.
As Jones left, we got a glimpse at what he would have sung this week: A lovely rendition of "Somewhere Out There."
While it wasn't a good night for Jermaine, it was for Joshua Ledet -- who got huge praise for his version of Michael Bolton's "When a Man Loves a Woman."
Jennifer Lopez called it "The best thing I've ever seen on 'American Idol'", while Steven Tyler said it was "The most beautiful performance I've ever seen."
What did you think of the performance and Jones' elimination?
