Chris Rene performed "Young Homie" at his "X Factor" audition, and instantly caught the attention of the judges and fans.
Rene's audition footage and original song went viral, getting over 13 million views on YouTube. The 29-year-old artist went on to place third in the competition behind competition winner Melanie Amaro and runner-up Josh Krajcik.
This fun video takes place in Chris' hometown of Santa Cruz, including the famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Rene was signed to Epic Records, and is currently working on his first studio album, to be released this year.
