Alright "Mad Men" fans, the time has finally come -- break out the scotch because your favorite show is back!
The smash AMC drama begins its fifth season on Sunday night, and while we can't wait to see what the show has in store for us, we know you can't wait to see where your favorite ad men (and women) got their start! Our friends at Snakkle.com take a look back at the employees of Sterling Cooper and their families before they hit it big!
Jon Hamm
Jon was always a performer and even attended the University of Missouri on an acting scholarship not long after this pic was taken. The 41-year-old had been known more for his comedic chops -- as evidenced by his turns hosting "Saturday Night Live" -- but he is the perfect Don Draper!
Who's the man behind the handsome face and well-tailored suits? Will he ever be honest with himself ...or with anyone else? We're not sure, but we can't wait to see how Don either pulls himself up or continues to fall.
January Jones
The smile on South Dakota native January's face doesn't hint at her daunting talent. The 34-year-old is a small town girl who worked at the local Dairy Queen at the time this pic was taken, but she is now formidable as Betty (Draper) Francis – a woman as cold and unfeeling as the wine glass in her hand. Betty has spiraled deeper and deeper into her own world, and last season she was crueler than ever. We wonder what's in store this time around?
John Slattery
Everyone's favorite “silver fox” is practically unrecognizable in this college pic! John's come a long way, and done a lot of great work (remember him on "Sex and the City?") since the days of his popped jean jacket collar.
The 49-year-old's role of Roger Sterling gives him the best one-liners on the show, but he's so much more than comic relief. Sterling is self-obsessed, selfish, brilliant and more than a little lost. Season 4 saw him struggling professionally and personally (that baby daddy thing is not likely to go over well), and we can't wait to see what season 5 brings us!
