Jessica Sanchez wasn't even born when Whitney Houston released her hit "How Will I Know," but the "American Idol" contestant sang the song like a pro on Wednesday night.
It was the second time the 16-year-old has covered the late singer on "American Idol" (she sang "I Will Always Love You" on the first finalist live show), and the judges lavished on the praise. Guest mentor Gwen Stefani called Jessica's voice ridiculous while Randy Jackson praised her maturity.
Check out Jessica's performance on '80s night below:
In her intro segment, Jessica talked about being a regular teen into boys and shopping.
The truth is anything but. At age 11. Jessica had already appeared on "America's Got Talent." She already has a stage persona named Bebe Chez, much like Beyonce's Sasha Fierce. In other words, she's a seasoned pro.
She later teamed up for powerhouse singer Joshua Ledet for a rousing duet to "I Knew You Were Waiting On Me," for which they earned a standing ovation.
Jennifer Lopez even postulated Jessica and Joshua could be the final two. Do you agree?
