On July 31, 1992 a little movie called "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" landed in theaters -- and while the flick was a critical flop, it became a cult classic and spawned a beloved TV franchise.
Looking back at the movie today, on the 20th anniversary of its release, it's pretty surprising how many of the actors went on to have pretty solid careers.
While Kristy Swanson has been relegated to TV movies after her scandalous run on "Skating with Celebrities," other stars in the movie have fared much better.
None more so than Hilary Swank, who actually made her film debut in the movie and went on to win two Oscars for her work in "Boys Don't Cry" and "Million Dollar Baby."
Other notable stars include Luke Perry, Donald Sutherland, Rutger Hauer, Paul "Pee-wee" Reubens and even Ben Affleck.
