Sofia Vergara is known for her crazy cleavage -- and today in Los Angeles, it literally popped out of her top!
The 40-year-old actress was filming an upcoming episode of "Modern Family" at L.A. outdoor shopping mall The Grove, when her blouse burst open.
Sofia looked mortified ... but, don't worry, it was all for the show.
Our guess: Vergara's character, Gloria, is starting to show the first signs of pregnancy -- and her growing bosom and belly caused the wardrobe malfunction.
