He promised "I'll be back," and he wasn't kidding -- Arnold Schwarzenegger is returning to his action superstar roots!
In his first role as a leading man after a 7-year hiatus to, you know, govern the state of California, the 65-year-old is kicking ass and taking names in the first trailer for "The Last Stand."
Arnold stars as the Sheriff of a sleepy town who suddenly finds himself fighting off a drug cartel. Of course, the iconic leather jacket makes a return, along with a mini-gun (!) and Arnold's classic one-liners.
"The Last Stand," also starring Forest Whitaker, Johnny Knoxville, "Friday Night Lights" star Zach Gilford and more, hits theaters in January.
The Governator can also be seen as part of the huge ensemble cast of former action stars like Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris in "The Expendables 2," which is out on Friday.
