He's one of the most famous characters in film and fiction, and now we have our first look at Jack Ryan's new face ... again.
"Star Trek" hottie Chris Pine is filling the CIA analyst's shoes in the upcoming prequel, aptly named "Jack Ryan," scheduled to hit theaters Christmas Day 2013. He was just spotted on the set in Manhattan ... and he looks great!
This flick follows the Tom Clancy character early in his career, as he segues from the Marine Corps to a position as a financial consultant for a Russian billionaire. Of course, he ends up being framed and having to go on the run.
The film also stars Kevin Costner, Keira Knightley and Kenneth Branagh, who is directing as well.
Pine is the fourth actor to portray Ryan in the franchise: Alec Baldwin held the role in 1990's "The Hunt for Red October;" Harrison Ford was Jack Ryan in "Patriot Games" (1992) and "Clear and Present Danger" (1994); and Ben Affleck took over in the 2002 flick "The Sum of All Fears." We can't wait to see what Chris does with the character!
