We're just a week away from the big Season 4 premiere of "Glee," and our excitement just amped up another notch with the sneak peek (listen?) of five songs from the first two episodes of the season!
The show held a listening party on their Facebook page on Wednesday night, hosted by Darren Criss (Blaine) and Kevin McHale (Artie), allowing dedicated Gleeks the chance to hear new covers of Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Carly Rae Jepsen and Imagine Dragons.
Hear them all, below!
"Call Me Maybe" - Carly Rae Jepsen, as sung by the New Directions (Cast of "Glee")
It's the song of the summer, so of course the McKinley kids had to take on this infectious pop tune!
"Gimme More" - Britney Spears, as sung by Brittany (Heather Morris)
The song that gave us the phrase, "It's Britney, bitch!" sounds pretty much exactly like the original, though we can't wait to see Heather rock her dance moves to this one!
"Americano" / "I Wanna Dance "- Lady Gaga / Jennifer Lopez, as sung by Cassandra (Kate Hudson)
This fun mash-up gives us our first taste of the musical stylings of Rachel's (Lea Michele) mean NYADA dance teacher Cassandra (Kate) ... and we love it!
"Boys" / "Boyfriend" - Britney Spears / Justin Bieber, as sung by Blaine and Artie
Darren and Kevin channel their best boy band in this super-pop mash-up.
"It's Time" - Imagine Dragons, as sung by Blaine
It's why we love Blaine! The former-Warbler takes the lead on this indie rock song that we can only imagine is an anthem as he faces a strained relationship with Kurt (Chris Colfer). Oh, the drama!
