Taylor Swift is an easy target -- and last night, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley took aim at the CMAs.
The singer's breakup with Conor Kennedy may still be a fresh wound, but the award show hosts had no problem poking fun at the situation during their opening monologue.
"The greatest trade of the year had to be the Kennedy family. They somehow traded Arnold Schwarzenegger for Taylor Swift," Paisley said ... before Carrie interrupted to say that Swift and Kennedy were no longer together.
The two then did some scripted banter using the lyrics from Taylor's latest hit, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."
We wish they had cut to Taylor in the audience ... a reaction shot on this one would have been great!
It wasn't a malicious joke and clearly the crowd at the Bridgestone Arena loves them some Swift -- the singer got a standing O after her performance of "Begin Again."
