LeAnn Rimes broke down in tears discussing her affair with current husband Eddie Cibrian on an E! News special last night -- and for Eddie's ex, Brandi Glanville, watching the interview was bittersweet.
As we all know by now, Rimes and Eddie started a relationship when they were both still married to other people. Cibrian was with wife Brandi, while Rimes was still married to her now-ex Dean Sheremet.
"I never, ever in my heart want to hurt anyone," Rimes said in the hour-long special last night. "You might have had so many wonderful things with each other's spouses in your relationships, but something along the way broke that. You can't break what's broken already."
"No one will ever understand how much thought and hurt, even towards each other, were put into our decision,” she added while choking up.
Eddie's ex was one of the many watching the interview last night -- and it looks like it left her with some mixed emotions.
"My kids can be on a E news special apparently but not in the back ground of the show I am on? Amazing," she tweeted last night after seeing photos of LeAnn and her sons during the interview.
Brandi and Eddie have had a bitter custody battle -- with Cibrian refusing to allow the couple's kids to be on "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" with their mom.
"Just to be completely clear my kids are happy boys that really have no idea that anything negative is going on between us parents," she added this morning.
And while Brandi may be ticked her kids were seen with Rimes, the special also gave her a reason to smile: Book sales.
"WOOHOO! I just got off the phone with my book editor and our numbers went up even more last night after a certain E news interview! Hahahha."
Looks like Brandi gets the last laugh.
