The holidays are finally upon us, and in celebration we're posting five fun facts about our favorite festive flicks!
Today's featured film is "Deck the Halls" (2006).
1. The Christmas light display on Danny Devito's house could not be possible with traditional Christmas lights. Instead, LED lights were used. But in real life, the display would not be visible from space as depicted in the film -- there's too much pollution.
2. Alternate titles for the film included "All Lit Up" and "Wreck the Halls."
3. "Deck the Halls" was one of Cory Monteith's earliest films. He played Madison's (Alia Shawkat's) date. He would later go on to play Finn in "Glee."
4. Matthew Broderick spent months training at Chelsea Piers in New York City to prepare for the speedskating race scene.
5. Kristin Davis played Matthew Broderick's wife in the film. Of course, the actor is married to her close friend (and "Sex and the City' costar) Sarah Jessica Parker. Kristin asked Sarah Jessica for her approval, which she gave.
