Apparently the title of "The Last Exorcism" was a big lie -- because today we've got the first trailer for the movie's sequel!
"The Last Exorcism Part II" picks up right where the first movie left off, following what happens to Nell (Ashley Bell) after the 2010 movie's fiery finale.
Part I was a surprise success when the "found-footage" flick debuted two years ago. The movie, which cost $1.8 million to produce, raked in over $41 million in the U.S. alone.
But while its predecessor was shot like a fake documentary about exorcisms, the sequel is a straight narrative shot on traditional film.
The movie opens March 1.
And while we're talking horror sequels, another one was just officially announced this morning.
Millennium Films is moving forward with what's now being called "Texas Chainsaw 4," following the success of "Texas Chainsaw 3D" last weekend. It will begin production this year in Louisiana ... not Texas.
The working title doesn't make too much sense though, as "3D" was supposed to be a direct follow-up to the 1974 original ... and 3 other sequels, a remake and a prequel already exist.
No word on the plot, but (SPOILER ALERT) we have a feeling we'll be seeing more from Leatherface and his cousin Heather ... who "inherited" the killer at the end of the latest movie.
