Jennifer Lopez is opening up about her relationship with 26-year-old boyfriend Beau "Casper" Smart -- revealing why she's so into the young dancer.
"For me, it's about having a great partner to walk this life with," the 44-year-old superstar tells Cosmopolitan -- where the two were snapped sharing an intimate kiss (above).
"I have my own high standards for what I want in a partner and how I want to be treated. I bring a lot to the table. I'm not talking about material things but what I have to offer as a person – love and loyalty and all the things that make a good relationship," she adds.
J.Lo says Casper helped her get over some of her insecurities too while they've been together.
"It's funny, early on with Beau, I remember telling him how I have a real button on being ignored. And he was like, 'Listen, if somebody ignores you, then forget them. They don't deserve to have your attention,'" she tells the mag.
"Sometimes when we don't get it, we try to get it in an negative way, you know?" she adds.
And he's not the only one who helped her get over some of her demons -- she also credits ex-husband Marc Anthony.
"The biggest insecurity I had was my singing. Even though I had sold 70 million records, there was this feeling like, I'm not good at this," she says. "And while I was married to Marc, he helped me get over it. He kept telling me, 'You're the only one holding yourself back from reaching your full potential as a singer. You have to let go."
"Then I grew, little by little, and realized, wait a minute, this is not a fluke. I'm not a mistake – I work my ass off. And I know what I'm doing," she says.
It's clear she's more confident than ever these days and looking amazing too, showing some serious skin on Cosmo's October cover and inside the pages of the magazine.
And she's got a lot to be happy about!
It was just announced that Jennifer will officially be back on "American Idol" this year -- joining Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. on the judging panel.
Randy Jackson will return as a mentor this time and Ryan Seacrest will once again host.
Are you glad she's back?
