Brittany Daniel is finally sharing her story.
BET's "The Game" actress has been dealing with stage IV non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Daniel shares her story in the new issue of PEOPLE, telling the mag that she was diagnosed with the disease in the summer of 2011.
After dealing with months of terrible back pain, night sweats and various flu symptoms, the blonde beauty decided to see a doctor ... where she discovered she had lymphoma.
The 38-year-old opens up about finding out the diagnosis and how she's finally fought her way to a healthy place again.
"It happened so suddenly,” she tells the mag. "There is is no way I would have ever gotten through this without my family."
"My family is everything to me and I feel like they saw me through this," she reveals. Initially, Brittany wanted to keep her health scare private -- but now that she is cancer-free, the actress wants to share her story to help others in alike situations.
"I want to let people know it is absolutely possible to get through something like this," she says. "I want people to know they are not alone."
Now that the "White Chicks" star is feeling back to her old self again, she's back on "The Game" and hoping to start a family soon.
"I am just trying to enjoy every day," she explains.
