No "Hooked on a Feeling" this time around.
The brand new trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy" goes for a more serious tone this time around, giving us our best explanation of the plot and some insight into Star-Lord's backstory.
"A thief, two thugs, a murderer and a maniac" must band together to save the universe in the highly-anticipated Marvel film, which hits theaters this August.
And this new sneak peek is packed with never-before-seen footage of Glenn Close, the raccoon voiced by Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel's talking tree and a very green Zoe Saldana.
While Chris Pratt may be the star here, this trailer makes it very clear that Cooper's on-screen alter-ego is going to steal the show.
The film lands in theaters August 1 -- will you be checking it out?
