O.K., so now that we've got all the good stuff out of the way, it's time to focus on some of the surprises that DIDN'T happen.
1.) Where Are My T-Rexes?!
While Legendary did announce that a new "Godzilla" sequel is on its way, we were really hoping to hear about some other giant creatures.
The studio is co-producing "Jurassic World" with Universal and fan sites were foaming at the mouth for any details, footage, concept art or ... well, anything ... from the flick during the panel. Instead, they got nada.
It's a pretty surprising move, especially considering the movie will hit theaters by the time Comic-Con 2015 rolls around. At least fans attending next year can likely expect a sequel announcement.
2.) Marvel Mysteries
When Marvel announced its release dates for the next five years just last week, many fans were hoping we'd learn what some of the slots were being held for. While we got a "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" confirmation and date, there are still many more holes in the schedule.
We were also expecting to find out who will be playing Dr. Strange in the upcoming film, but alas no such announcement was made. When asked about it during a press line after the panel, Marvel president Kevin Feige said they're simply not ready yet and the announcement will happen when the time is right.
3.) The Terminator Was NOT Back
Another high-profile film coming out before next year's convention is "Terminator: Genesis," which hits theaters July 1, 2015.
With Arnold Schwarzenegger returning to the fold and Comic-Con-friendly costars like Emilia Clarke ("Game of Thrones") and Jai Courtney ("Spartacus," "Divergent), we really thought some footage would be premiered at the big event.
4.) Aquaman Still Hiding Underwater
With Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot appearing for a brief "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" teaser, many expected more of their super-friends to join them on stage.
Maybe Warner Bros. would tell us who Jason Momoa or The Rock would be playing ... or unveil the entire "Justice League" lineup, like Marvel did with "The Avengers" back in 2010. It would have been a HUGE moment, but we're still waiting.
Of course, they have plenty of time. "Batman v. Superman" doesn't even come out until 2016!
5.) No Galaxy Far Far Away
Yeah, Disney didn't have its own panel this year and the official word was that there would absolutely be no footage shown from J.J. Abrams' upcoming "Star Wars" film at Comic-Con this year ... but we all still held out hope, right?
Sorrrrrry ... again, we'll probably be waiting for Comic-Con 2015 for that one, if we're lucky. Disney may also wait to premiere anything until their own D23 convention in August 2015, though that may be pushing it just a little too close to the film's December release date.
And then there's this ... which may be one of the most disappointing things we've ever heard. Check out what Adrianne Curry told us about the sometimes-horrific treatment female cosplayers experience from male fans attending the convention.
Get it together, people.
