What started out as a moment with fans ended with Jennifer Lawrence running to her SUV for safety last night outside "The Late Show."
The actress had just finished promoting "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" with David Letterman and went to greet fans after the taping.
She was game to sign autographs for the crowd waiting outside, but the barricade holding the screaming pack of people back started to fall over -- and that sent J-Law on a sprint in the other direction.
Looking at the footage and photos, it definitely looks like she was overwhelmed and a bit frightened by what was going on.
The mini-scare went down after a hilarious interview inside the Ed Sullivan Theater, where Lawrence proved that she doesn't have the best singing voice.
