With an insanely popular TV series and a wild shooting schedule, "Pretty Little Liars" star Shay Mitchell still manages to find time for her friends.
toofab's Brittany Kyles caught up with the 28-year-old fashionista at the official launch party of Palm Breeze Alcohol Spritz (available in Ruby Red Citrus and Pineapple Mandarin Orange) at the Viceroy in Santa Monica over the weekend -- where Shay let us in on how she finds time for a "vacay every day" and spilled her summer style must-haves.
"With my busy schedule, it's always nice to set aside time to just hang out with your girlfriends," she says -- adding that you don't have to travel somewhere exotic to get an escape. "It could just be in your backyard. Regardless of where you are, if you have good girlfriends and an amazing beverage, you're good to go."
"Another way that you can live that vacay every day lifestyle is by the clothes you wear," she continues. "You feel like you're away, even when you're not on vacation."
Guests at the launch party definitely got a taste of that lifestyle, as they were treated to a fashion show from Gilt, a Blo-run dry bar and a mixology lounge with Palm Breeze-muddled cocktails.
And while we saw some summer-ready looks on the runway, Shay shared her three must-haves for the sunny season.
"I would say a good white trouser. I swear you can wear them with everything," she says. "I'm really into the whole monotone look, whether its beiges, grey, just like a one tone look."
"A good pair of heels, black and nude," she adds. "You have to have a good pair of black and nude heels."
