Sitting at Leonardo DiCaprio's table at the Golden Globes certainly has its perks, but not if you don't know anyone!
John Krasinski, who attended the award show without Emily Blunt, admits that he found himself in an awkward situation when he was seated with "The Revenant" cast.
"I went alone and turns out that when you go stag they put you at a great table. I was at Leonardo DiCaprio's table," he says on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Friday, adding that his wife couldn't attend because she was shooting a movie.
While he was thrilled to be near Leo, the seating arrangement wasn't what he expected after the actor took home the award for Best Actor.
"I didn't get a chance to meet him and I didn't want to be like, 'Hey man I'm the guy that doesn't have anybody.' And then they won everything," Krasinski explains. "So I'm in the middle of hugs and people are like this is the best year ever and I was like, 'Wasn't it?' And then everybody went up and gave their speech I felt really pretty stupid."
This photo from the audience camera says it all, showing John completely out of the loop while the rest of the "Revenant" cast celebrates. Brutal!
"There was a moment, speaking of Alejandro [González Iñárritu], when he won he said hi to everyone and thank you because they all worked on the movie and then turned to me and there was that moment of like, 'Why are you here?' and I was like, 'Congratulations,'" he says with a laugh.
