Nicole Richie and Joel Madden rarely hit the red carpet together, so it was a real treat when they posed for pictures at the 2016 G'Day Los Angeles Gala on Thursday night.
The "Candidly Nicole" star looked glamorous in a plunging cream dress with a matching fur coat as her hubby went classic in black pants, a matching shirt and jacket and black and white sneakers.
The Good Charlotte rocker even took to Instagram to share a sweet selfie with his wife, writing, "Date night #GdayLA."

The couple prefers to keep their private life private, but Madden recently opened up about life with Nicole and their two kids, Harlow, 8, and Sparrow, 7.
"[My family is my] guiding light," he said in Details magazine.
Both he and Richie have struck the perfect balance between they careers and family life. "Things are simplest when we're not involved in each other's work," he said of the fashion designer.
"[There] are people who think we want to be in tabloids, like we're asking someone to surprise us with a camera," he told the mag. "If I was only interested in people seeing me, I'd be on Nicole's show ["Candidly Nicole"], and as a family we made a firm decision not to do that. The show is totally Nicole's thing. The family is our thing, and we protect it."
