At a time when most talk shows are struggling to find long term success, the ladies of "The Real" have something very special.
Adrienne Bailon, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, Tamar Braxton and Jeannie Mai have all been on the successful show since 2013, avoiding casting switchups like "The View" and cancellation like "FABLife". But for them, the secret to success comes from not worrying what's happening with the competition.
"We don't really look at what other shows are doing," Tamera told toofab's Candice Brock during a set visit. "We don't. All we can be in control of is what we're doing right here. And just showing up every day, and allowing ourselves to be ourselves. And people can relate to that. And I think that's the reason why. We're not so politically correct."
Their amazing chemistry isn't just a front either -- the they all hold close knit bonds both inside and outside of work, making their "Girl Chat" segment a fan favorite.
"It is the chemistry. I think the fact that we get along, we respect each other, we like each other, we enjoy each other's company," Adrienne gushed. "I think even outside of work we enjoy each other's company, and that speaks volumes, cause when you have an atmosphere you can honestly be open, I think the cameras pick up the success from the fact that Girl Chat really becomes girl chat for us."
"I think this country has seen so many reality shows with women that show that the women aren't getting along, women can't be friends, women can't work together," Loni added. "And then, when they saw us, you know, every time I go do press, they're like, "Do you all really get along?" You saw us today. What you see is everyday. It's easy."
