We're all for one, we're one for all, we're All-Americans!
The Rockford Peaches had one amazing reunion on Sunday in Bentonville, Arkansas as part of the Bentonville Film Festival, where "A League of Their Own" star Geena Davis played a game of softball with her former costars.
Megan Cavanagh (Marla Hooch), Tracy Reiner (Betty Spaghetti), Patti Pelton (Marbleann Wilkenson), Anne Ramsay (Helen Haley) and Freddie Simspon (Ellen Sue Gotlander) all attended the event, which Davis launched in 2015. They were joined at the event by Gina Casey, who actually played baseball back in the '50s.
"This event was so popular last year that we decided to do it again," Davis told Arkansas Online. "And I'm so thrilled to have six of my Rockford Peaches castmates attending the game this year."
"It's 20 years later and we're still playing," added Pelton of the 1992 flick. "It's great to be here. It's a gift that keeps on giving."
The film, which co-starred Tom Hanks, Rosie O'Donnell and Madonna, chronicled the rise of an all-women baseball league in the '40s, based on the real-life All-American Girls Professional Baseball League.
While O'Donnell attended last year's event, she sat this one out. Maybe they can get Madge to show in 2017?!
