Celine Dion is staying strong.
The singer appears on Monday's "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" where she opens up about losing her husband Rene Angelil.
Dion -- whose husband passed away in January at the age of 73 -- sounds like she's been managing Rene's loss rather well.
"You are doing so well and your kids are doing so well. I know it's tough to carry on," Ellen says to the "My Heart Will Go On" singer in the clip below.
"It is tough I have to admit but everything you just said is absolutely true. It's part of our life and life has imposed this on him," she says. "That was his destiny and I still feel extremely fortunate that he has given me three magnificent children. Wonderful pieces of luggage."
"As an artist to feel confident and to have experience enough and to keep going," she continues. "And I'm well because he's not suffering anymore. Because the hardest thing is not to lose somebody you love but to see them suffer."
Dion, who shares three children with Angelil, 15-year-old Rene-Charles and 5-year-old twin boys Nelson and Eddy, says she's most proud of the way she prepared her children for Rene's passing.
"So for me to know that he is in a place where he doesn't suffer anymore makes me feel way better," she explains. "And second thing, I feel extremely fortunate as a mother that -- it's probably the thing I'm the most proud of -- [is] how I prepared my children for how to live with Dad. How to live with him without his presence."
Later on the episode, Dion has a little fun with Ellen and shows off her impressive rap skills. Check out the video above to see Celine's rhymes!
