President-elect Donald Trump has been named Time magazine's 2016 Person of the Year.
"This is the 90th time we have named the person who had the greatest influence, for better or worse, on the events of the year. So which is it this year: Better or worse? The challenge for Donald Trump is how profoundly the country disagrees about the answer," said the magazine's editor-in-chief Nancy Gibbs
"I challenge all of you to tell me who other than Donald Trump had more influence on the events of this year," she told MSNBC's "Morning Joe"
And she's got a point -- regardless of what you think of Trump, the man has absolutely dominated the news cycle.
"To be on the cover of Time as Person of the Year is a tremendous honor. It means a lot, especially me growing up reading Time magazine, it's a very important magazine and I've been lucky enough to be on the cover many times," Trump himself exclaimed on "TODAY." "I consider this a very, very great honor."
During the interview, Matt Lauer also brought up Trump's excessive use of Twitter and why he loves it so much.
"I think I am very restrained, and I talk about important things," Donald told him. "It's a modern-day form of communication … I get it out much faster than a press release. I get it out much more honestly than dealing with dishonest reporters."
Well, the people on Twitter have a few feelings about the cover ... we've pulled some of the best reactions below.
My Ex: "Can't believe @TIME picked Donald Trump as Person of the Year."

Me: "They've picked evil trash before."
Ex: "Who?"

Yes but I was also Time's Person of the Year in 2006 so they'll just give it to anyone
@TheSpencerPerry
Just a reminder.

Trump actually very much deserves to be in this company. pic.twitter.com/MTty3EMGGH
I was person of the year a while back. We all were. This means nothing. https://t.co/AdCXkWhkVR
@baratunde
It's really not Time's fault that Trump is so clearly and obviously the person of the year, whatever that means.
@jonlovett
Annual reminder that Time Person of the Year recognizes influence "for better or worse." (Not picking Bin Laden in 2001 was a failing.)
@poniewozik
When the Person of the Year is given DEVIL HORNS. 😳😬 pic.twitter.com/fWuSBiRIC3
@Diane_7A
Sorry, but we all know who the real Person of the Year is pic.twitter.com/iuujeUcBhJ
@erinruberry
Let's not forget that Time's Person of the Year is based on how someone influences the year. It's not inherently a positive award.
@RealMikeT
Donald Trump has been named #TimeMagazine's Person Of The Year... Is this a joke?!?! Smh
@mayasphere
Will Jill Stein demand a recount over Person of the Year?
@JosephWulfsohn
What has he done to deserve person of the year over others?
@hayleaeliza
Donald Trump is Time's Person of the year. What a way to give a bug thumbs up to xenophobia, bigotry, racism. Well done Times well done !!
@k5hitiz
I think Lin @Lin_Manuel should have been Time's "Person of the Year" if anyone impacted lives the most this year.
