Even the best of the worst deserves an award!
Jimmy Kimmel handed out his annual Clip of the Year award on Wednesday after his "Jimmy Kimmel Live" team scoured the internet to find the "absolute best of the absolute worst" in TV news.
The 2016 nominees included "Malted Milk Bald," "Beach Balls," "Torna-Doh," "Lotion Commotion" and "G.O.P. Pile-Up" and boy, was this some stiff competition!
Kimmel's video for "Malted Milk Bald" featured a bald man's head that blended into a cluster of shiny malt balls. "Beach Balls" was a hilarious TV segment about sandcastles that turned very NSFW.
In "Lotion Commotion", a reporter interviews a father and son during a blizzard after they bought lotion from L'Occitane for his son's good grades.
Last was "G.O.P Pile-Up", which featured the Republican candidates for president entering the stage at the New Hampshire Republican debate. Ben Carson missed his name during the introductions and was left awkwardly waiting in the wings!
It was a close call but the other clips were no match for "G.O.P Pile-Up", which ultimately took home the award.
Kimmel will be hosting a very different type of award show in just a couple months. The comedian is set to host the Academy Awards on ABC in February. But apparently Kimmel isn't the big bucks one might expect for the gig.
The late-night host revealed on KROQ's "Kevin & Bean" morning show that he's getting paid $15,000 to host the Oscars.
"I think it's illegal to pay nothing," Kimmel joked. "I'm not sure I was supposed to reveal this. But nobody told me not to. I consider this their fault."
