While Michelle and Malia Obama sat front row at President Barack Obama's farewell speech on Tuesday night in Chicago, one member of the family was mysteriously MIA.
The hashtag #WhereIsSasha started popping up on Twitter during the speech, escalating in popularity after Obama addressed his two daughters.
So ... where was she? Like most high schoolers, she was home studying!
"Sasha stayed back in DC tonight because she has an exam at school in the morning," White House officials revealed. The 15-year-old currently attends Sidwell Friends School in Washington D.C.
During her father's eloquent speech, Malia was seen wiping tears from her eyes as he spoke.
"Malia and Sasha, under the strangest of circumstances, you have become two amazing young women," Obama said of the girls. "You are smart and you are beautiful but more importantly, you are kind and you are thoughtful and you are full of passion. And you bore the burden of years in the spotlight so easily. Of all that I have done in my life, I am most proud to be your dad."
