Metallica fans weren't happy with Laverne Cox's during the Grammys on Sunday night.
The "Doubt" star, who broke out into fame on Netflix's "Orange Is the New Black," completely forgot to introduce the iconic heavy metal band while she was supposed to be doing just that. Instead, she only name dropped Lady Gaga, who helped frontman James Hetfield sing the band's single "Moth Into Flame."
“Ladies and gentlemen, all my gender non-binary people watching tonight, eight-time Grammy award winners and six-time Grammy winner, Lady Gaga,” Cox said.
I am so sorry to #Metallica and all their fans. I am told I didn't say their names during the intro. Love you Metallica. You Rock. #Grammys
@Lavernecox
I actually love metal. I used to own the black album and Master of Puppets. It was just an awful mistake. I am sorry https://t.co/F8cpZhqBjW

To make matters worse for fans who tuned into the CBS broadcast to see Metallica perform, the performance was marred by a major technical difficulty: Hetfield's mic wasn't working.
I'm so mad at the #Grammys thank God Gaga's mic was one and she had the energy to lead the first part of the performance #Justice4Metallica
@Panchecco
#Grammys and @Lavernecox you should apologize too, you forgot to announce that @Metallica were performing with Gaga #Justice4Metallica
@Panchecco
So Laverne cox forgot to introduce Metallica and the sound crew forgets to turn on their mic's... Where's the respect?
@nirous
The only thing more disappointing than that mic fail was @Lavernecox not introducing @Metallica #wtf #GRAMMYs
@lisforlace
Laverne Cox accidentally only said Lady Gaga instead of Metallica 😬😶 #GRAMMYs pic.twitter.com/1lIPsmIDqE
@LabOfHookers
Come on #GRAMMYs! How could you do that to James Hetfield? First, @Lavernecox only introduces @ladygaga forgetting @Metallica, then broken 🎙
