Celebrities like Billy Eichner and Kal Penn reacted to the news that President Donald Trump seemed to ignore German Chancellor Angela Merkel's request for a formal handshake during their Oval Office meeting on Friday and they were not happy about the snub.
The two leaders, at Friday's joint press conference at the White House, were prompted by reporters to shake hands toward the end of their meeting, saying "Do you want to have a handshake?"
Trump, as can be seen in the video above, refused to respond and stared directly ahead at the cameras as if Merkel wasn't even in the room.

Trump tweeted on Saturday, "Despite what you have heard from the FAKE NEWS, I had a GREAT meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Nevertheless, Germany owes vast sums of money to NATO & the United States must be paid more for the powerful, and very expensive, defense it provides to Germany!"
