What Katy Perry thought was just another innocent Instagram picture completely blew up in her face.
The singer shared a photo of Hindu goddess Kali Ma on Tuesday, which Perry captioned "current mood."
Though over 200k "liked" the post at the time of this writing, Perry's comments section was full of users who called out the pop star for blatant disrespect of Indian culture.

Kali Ma is known in the Hindu religion as the goddess of creation, preservation and destruction, often referred to as "Dark Mother" for her role as a destroyer of evil forces. Kali is one of the ten Mahavidyas, a combined list of Sakta and Buddhist goddesses.

Though many have called on her to delete the photo, Perry has not yet reacted.
