After an attack at Ariana Grande's Manchester show left at least 22 dead and dozens more injured, many fellow musicians have penned heartfelt messages to the singer.
Shawn Mendes took it one step further Wednesday, when he performed a beautiful tribute to Grande during his Paris show.
"I want to start with the fact that I know we all stand here tonight in this arena with heavy hearts for the people who were effected by the attack, and know that we all feel so, so sorry about what happened. But I need to tell you guys how important music is. Music is the one of the very rare things in life that can bring people together in a way that words cannot describe, but we can only feel. And something that important is something worth protecting and never, never let it broken."
"I want to tell you guys that you should never, ever be afraid to enjoy and to do what you truly love to do. That goes for every single person that stands this arena in Paris and everyone across the world. You should never be afraid to enjoy music, you should never be afraid to live life to the fullest."
Mendes' band also played Grande's "One Last Time" to which the entire arena sang along.

Grande postponed her Dangerous Woman Tour after the attack at her London show. The city of Manchester has been on high alert since the tragedy which is being considered the most deadly terror attack on British soil since the 2005 London bombings.
