The first :30 tease of Darren Aronofsky's new movie, "mother!", is here and man, does it look freaky.
Most of the promo video shows star Jennifer Lawrence's character walking through her house, as a montage of quick soundbites from the film play over the footage. The quotes get more intense as they go, ending with Lawrence screaming "You're insane! Murderer!"
Little about the movie is known, aside from the short synopsis Paramount Pictures released today.
A couple's relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. From filmmaker Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream), mother! stars Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer in this riveting psychological thriller about love, devotion and sacrifice.
A full trailer is expected to drop August 8. The movie hits theaters September 15.
