Nicki Minaj is not only the best part of Katy Perry's new song "Swish Swish," she's also literally the saving grace of the new music video for the single.
Perry dropped the video (above) Thursday, and as the teaser promised earlier this week, it's full of celebrity cameos (Rob Gronkowski, Molly Shannon, Terry Crews, "Stranger Things" star Gaten Matarazzo, the bodybuilder who plays The Mountain on "Game of Thrones" and even Backpack Kid, a.k.a. Russell Horning) as a team of underdogs try to beat a bunch of buff body builders on a basketball court.
The game, full of wacky and tacky set pieces that aren't really all that funny, doesn't go so well for Perry's team of misfits. Then Minaj steps on the court to spit out her rhymes -- the standout portion of the single and one of the most enjoyable aspects of the video -- during a halftime show that inspires Perry to rally a comeback.

Perry's new video comes just days before she takes the stage to host MTV's Video Music Awards on Sunday. The comedic tone of "Swish, Swish" is probably what viewers can expect from the pop star in between performances and awards.
