Steven Seagal bashed NFL athletes who decided to take a knee during the national anthem and now he's getting dropkicked on Twitter in return.
"Steven Seagal is nothing more than Putin stooge. Don't listen to anything that comes out of his mouth. Steven, do us a favor & star in Russia," one user tweeted.
While appearing on ITV's "Good Morning Britain" Wednesday, the 65-year-old actor -- who became a Russian citizen last year and is friends with the country's president, Vladimir Putin -- talked about how the increasingly popular form of protest is "outrageous" and "disgusting."
"I believe in free speech, I believe that everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but I don't agree that they should hold the United States of America or the world hostage by taking a venue where people are tuning in to watch a football game and imposing their political views," he said. "I think it's outrageous, I think it's a joke. It's disgusting."
