Bill Maher took the stage Friday night and opened up about the Las Vegas tragedy for the first time on HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher." In a speech that began with President Trump's paper towel throwing fiasco in Puerto Rico, things quickly shifted to the most recent American tragedy.
"I'm so sick of all the reactions," Maher said during his opening monologue. "I'm so sick of thoughts and prayers."
But Maher didn't leave it at that, he went on to say, "First of all, thoughts are the opposite of prayers. A thought is 'What should I do?' A prayer is wishing on a star." "Thoughts and prayers are the Republican way of saying 'tough shit.'"
