Jimmy Kimmel's seventh annual "I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy" is back and this year's reactions do not disappoint.
Jennifer Lawrence introduced the segment by saying, "Every year Jimmy invites parents to pretend they ate all of their kids Halloween candy and once again, those evil parents delivered in a huge and bigly way."
The reactions ranged from crying and screaming, to one little girl boldly telling her mom to "spit it out."
One boy responded to the news with an eerie calm: "Yep and that's why I don't love you anymore." Meanwhile, another girl was so traumatized that she was left speechless, staring wide-eyed into the distance.
Another boy was suspicious of the validity of his mother's claim. "Wait a minute. Wait a minute! I think you're trying to trick me," he said.
But despite the betrayal and devastation, a select few kids showed grace and told their parents they were forgiven.

View StoryKimmel himself got in on the action this year, too, tricking his own daughter into believing he and his wife ate all of her Halloween candy. She was adorably content, however, with one Smarties her parents left behind.
"What? I still have one. Don't worry," she said.
