"The Walking Dead" released an extended look at the back half of Season 8 and man, is it a punch to the gut.

The just-released trailer shows some of their final words to each other, with Carl pleading with his father to find peace in this horrific new world. "I can't be who I was, it's different now," Rick (Andrew Lincoln) replies.
But the biggest tearjerker is this final kicker: "Before mom died she told me I was going to beat this world. You will."
