Sasha Gates' new song may be called "Sweet Gyal," but she's embracing her sexy side in the music video.
TooFab's got your first look at the sultry, Trinidad-inspired visual from the "WAGS" star, who admitted she was nervous to show the final product to her football star husband, Los Angeles Chargers tight end Antonio Gates

"I was actually scared to show him at first," she tells TooFab. "But after watching it, he was really supportive. He was happy that I was creating visuals that were so fun and reflective of my personality."
"He loves that I found my niche as an artist," added Gates. "Although the video is sexy he knows that it's for him!"

What was the inspiration behind the video?
Sweet Gyal is a term in Trinidad used to describe the hottest girl on the block. I wanted to share what makes a sweet gyal and the power she has over her life. So for the 'Sweet Gyal' video I wanted to show girls having a good time, dancing around the house, trying on clothes and makeup. We needed to look sexy and powerful.
What does your husband think about the video — it's hot!
I was actually scared to show him at first! But after watching it he was really supportive. He was happy that I was creating visuals that were so fun and reflective of my personality. He loves that I found my niche as an artist. Although the video is sexy he knows that it's for him! lol
How would you describe your music?
My music is heavily influenced by my Trinidadian roots. It's a mix of Soca, Reggae and Dancehall. I find myself listening to those styles more than any other genre, and I love pulling those influences into creating music authentic to my soul.
What's next for you musically?
Right now, I'm focusing on writing. I'm creating more songs in the genre that I'm cultivating. I'm always learning. I want to learn to play guitar! I'm also working with my band to create a set for live shows.
Will your WAGS co-stars be joining you at Carnival again this year? What can we expect for your parade outfits this year?
Darnell and Faven from WAGS Miami and Sincerely Ward from WAGS Atlanta are parading with me this year. I'm super excited to bring the girls out so they could learn and enjoy my culture in person – it's so beautiful!
I have my own section in the carnival parade for 2018. It's such an honor. The costume is intricate with many colored stones of purple, blue and deep maroons on a base of royal blue. Really vibrant, fun and sexy. I love it!
When WAGS returns for Season 4, would you like to see a cast shakeup at all?
Who knows what will happen next season! There are some girls on the cast I really enjoy! I'm really focused on my music right now, and some cool new beauty partnerships. Stay tuned!
