Both '80s heartthrobs thrust into the spotlight at very young ages, Brooke Shields and Michael Jackson always had a very special relationship -- and when Shields met the late pop star's daughter, Paris Jackson, she said the connection was almost instant.
"I recently met Paris at the Calvin Klein show," Shields told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" Wednesday night. "We were both reworking with Calvin Klein, and she turned to me and she said, 'So you're my dad's friend?' I had only seen her when she was a baby, and she didn't remember me. And so I said, 'Yes, I am.'"
"And then I waited a while and said, 'I really miss your dad,'" Shields continued. "And she looked at me and she held me and she goes, 'Me, too.' It was just a pure moment, and now we have our own kind of communication."
"Do you remember your last interaction with [Michael]?" host Andy Cohen asked.
"Yeah, he sent me a beautiful, beautiful floral arrangement when my dad died," Shields said. "I still have the vase."
"I'm on the same label as they are, I just didn't get to fall asleep on a quilt," Shields said. "Just saying. You know, I don't know what to say. I'm kind of at a loss. I was a part of a time when I was probably really lucky to be there when I was. I think we kind of started something--"
CNN political commentator Van Jones, who was sitting next to Shields, busted out laughing. "This is the first time you sound like you're full of crap," he said.
"I didn't know what to do, and when I saw it, I was like, 'Oh, is that why I wasn't in the underwear?'" she said laughing. "I was supposed to be doing the underwear shot. I was starving myself -- not really 'cause you don't wanna do that if you're a mother -- but I was getting ready to do the underwear ad, and then I literally drove -- not really, I was in a cab -- but I saw the underwear ad, and I was like, 'Oh, I guess I'm not in this part of the ad.' But listen, I think they all look great. It's just interesting."
