Poor Jared Kushner. Not only does he not have the faith of the American people, he apparently doesn't have the faith of the American government anymore, either. On Tuesday, Donald Trump's son-in-law, and personal advisor, saw his security clearance lowered, and late-night television was loving it.
Kushner has been a fairly regular target of the late-night hosts, with them poking fun at his grandiose claims of solving the problems in the Middle East to his youthful appearance and just the fact that he seems to have gotten his job not because of any qualifications, but because wife Ivanka begged daddy to hook her hubby up.

"The Late Show with Stephen Colbert"
"First son-in-law Jared Kusher was denied his security clearance and has lost access to Top Secret intelligence," Stephen Colbert lamented at the top of his show. But while he was clearly distraught, his audience erupted in cheers, leading him to shout at them, "What's wrong with you people? How will he fix the Middle East now? He was so close ... to starting."
It turns out Kushner and anyone else in the White House with interim security clearance was advised that they would see their access reduced from Top Secret to "merely Secret clearance, which means Kushner will have access to only nine herbs and spices," Colbert explained. "Just nine of the eleven. Of course, the last two are salt and fried salt."
Colbert went on to note that Trump has yet to comment on the security clearance downgrade. "He was too busy with his main presidential duty, live-tweeting Fox News."

James Corden realized something else that would now become reality in the Trump White House. "The president's son-in-law and advisor Jared Kushner had his security clearance downgraded today, meaning he won't have access to a lot of top-secret documents," he noted. "So I guess now Trump and Kushner won't be reading the daily intelligence briefing."
He then started to detail just how bad it was. "Here's how far Kushner was downgraded, he's now not even allowed to use the Trump family HBO Go password anymore," Corden said. "Here's how out of the loop Kushner is: he's finding out about all of this right now ... from me. Jared, I hate to break it to you."
"Late Night with Seth Meyers"
While the White House hasn't revealed any specific reasons as to why Kushner's clearance was reduced from Top Secret to Secret, Seth Meyers had a theory while he was reporting the story. He said, "Senior White House adviser Jared Kushner lost his Top Secret security clearance on Friday because, as it turns out, you have to be 18. You gotta be 18 years old."
Well, that clears that up.
He went on to talk about some of the other Trump family members who work in the administration, including some surprising news out of a sister station. "An MSNBC host this morning said that First Lady Melania Trump and Ivanka Trump have been given fake jobs at the White House," Meyers revealed to his audience. "But Melania says it's no problem for her, because she's used to faking it."
