Former "Bachelorette" star Meredith Phillips has come forward with allegations that she was sexually assaulted on the set of the ABC reality show during her 2004 season. But not by any of the men who were lining up to marry her.
Phillips said on the Reality Steve podcast Wednesday that a female masseuse drugged her, got naked in a bathtub with her and touched her private parts.

I just assumed it was an aspirin or something to loosen up my back or a Tylenol or something and it wasn't that, that's for sure," she explained. "The last thing I remember is she got naked and she was in the tub with me rubbing my back and rubbing areas that probably she shouldn't have. Then I was put in bed. I woke up naked. Don't remember a lot."
The reality star had struggled with alcoholism in the past, but says that she wasn't drinking during the time of the assault.
"This is hard for me to talk about," she continued. "I think I've put it somewhere else in my brain so when you bring this up, it's definitely right there in the forefront as we're speaking. I remember everything until a certain point and when the pill kicked in I literally couldn't even move my body, so I have no idea what the pill was at all."

Carbone asked her why she waited after all this time to come forward and talk about the assault. Although it has "bothered [her] for years," Phillips didn't want to risk the future of the franchise.
"I felt violated so I didn't know what to say or how to say it," she said. "I mean, how do you bring that up?"
Phillips was a contestant on Bob Guiney's season of "The Bachelor" in 2003 and then went on to become the Bachelorette the following year. She ended up choosing Ian McKee, but they called off their engagement the following year.
