Ronnie Ortiz-Magro sent "Jersey Shore" fans into a frenzy when he didn't attend Monday's MTV Music Video Awards with his castmates, leaving many wondering about his fate on the MTV reboot, "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation."
But on Tuesday morning, Ronnie addressed the wild assumptions in a lengthy Instagram post he shared alongside a beautiful shot of his baby girl, Ariana Sky Magro.

View Story"Everyone keeps asking where I've been, why wasn't I at the VMAs or other 'Jersey Shore: Family Vacation' events with my lovely castmates," he wrote. "I've chosen to take some time off to be a father to my beautiful daughter. I've got to experience everything in my life thankfully because of 'Jersey Shore' and my fans, [but] there's nothing that can replace the feeling of being a father."

"Thank you for all the love and support, and no, I have not quit 'Jersey Shore,'" he continued. "I am just choosing to take time so I can watch my daughter grow and be apart of [her] life...and be an amazing father. I rather be there for her in person than have to watch her grow through text messages and Instagram posts."
"I can give her everything in the world, but if I can't give her a relationship or a bond, than all of this is for nothing at the end of the day," he concluded.

When cops arrived, Jen was nowhere to be found. Witnesses told cops Jen punched him in the head, spit on him, then took off. At the time, Ronnie told police they were arguing because he found their dog dead at the bottom of their pool.
Later that month, Jen was arrested for domestic violence after she allegedly dragged him with a car. Ariana, who was 2 months old at the time, was in vehicle.
