One of this season's most memorable contestants on "America's Got Talent" may have already been eliminated, but now he's reportedly been hired to play a classic super-villain in the upcoming season of "The Flash," as reported by TV Insider.
Simon Cowell always says "AGT" is the biggest stage in the world, and he may be right. Contortionist Troy James made it through two rounds of the competition, creeping out the judges and the audience with his incredible flexibility and sweet personality. He didn't make it to the "AGT" Live Shows, but he may have landed himself something even better.
Those twisting limbs of his will serve him well as Golden Age villain Ragdoll, a triple-jointed criminal who's never been brought to live before. Primarily because it's easy to draw or even animate the wildly contorted positions he gets himself into, but not so easy to pull off with a real person.
Enter Troy James, who not only can twist his body into knots, but he can move quickly and unexpectedly while contorted. Fans of his appearances on "AGT" can already picture him galloping from a crime scene while twisted into a back bend.
It's a huge opportunity for the human resources worker, who's previously utilized his unique talents on episodes of "The Shadowhunters," "Channel Zero" and "The Strain."
If he proves to have acting chops on top of his superhuman abilities, he may just find himself launching into a new career, where he can finally leave human resources behind for good. And he has a failed run on a reality TV show to thank for it.
Season 5 of "The Flash" premieres Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
