And we're excited to see more of the little girl who won our hearts as Reese Witherspoon's daughter in HBO's "Big Little Lies."
Halloween is over, so the holiday season in America begins, and Netflix has us particularly psyched for the most wonderful time of the year thanks to the first trailer for "The Christmas Chronicles," starring Kurt Russell as Santa Claus.
And he's already perfect. After just one watch of this trailer that is full of heart and humor, we expect the guy famous for playing dystopian badass Snake Plissken to go down in history as one of the greatest movie Santas ever, joining Tim Allen ("The Santa Claus"), Richard Attenborough ("Miracle on 34th Street"), Ed Asner ("Elf") and Billy Bob Thornton ("Bad Santa").

View StoryThe kids movie follows a little girl and her older brother trying to catch Santa on camera, and then sneaking in his sleigh when they actually do. It's all downhill from there when disaster strikes in the air, but of course that near-tragedy sets us up for a magical adventure following kids teaming up with Santa to get him back in the air so he can save Christmas.
Like "Elf," this movie appears to be full of heartwarming holiday spirit and subversive humor that puts a new spin on the Santa Claus mythology we all know and love.
Plus it stars Darby Camp, a young actress who is one of our favorite parts of HBO's "Big Little Lies." You know, Reese Witherspoon's on-screen daughter, who has great taste in music.
"The Christmas Chronicles" starts streaming on Netflix on Nov. 22. But until then, you have two options: Grinch and moan about how department stores are already playing Christmas music, or GET FREAKIN' STOKED FOR THE INCREDIBLE WAVE OF HOLIDAY-THEMED ENTERTAINMENT THAT IS ABOUT TO CRASH INTO YOUR LIFE!
