Samantha 'Sammi Sweetheart' Giancola Is Engaged to Christian Biscardi

Samantha Giancola's life just got a whole lot sweeter.

The "Jersey Shore" alum, better known as "Sammi Sweetheart," just announced her engagement to boyfriend of over a year Christian Biscardi.

Giancola, 31, confirmed the news on her Instagram page on Tuesday morning, sharing a photo from her man's proposal. "I'm completely overwhelmed with happiness," she captioned the picture. "Yesterday was the best day of my life! I get to marry my other half, best friend and soulmate. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you @_biscardi I love you!!"

She also used the hashtags, #Fiance #MrsBiscardi #Stillcryingtearsofhappiness

Biscardi posted the same photo to his page, adding, "I am beyond excited to get to marry my best friend! Here's to the future Mr. & Mrs. Biscardi."

Some of Sammi's former costars are already celebrating the news, too. "Omg omg omg!!! I'm so freaking happy for you," Jenni "Jwoww" Farley commented on Giancola's post. "FINALLY!!! Congrats love," added Angelina Pivarnik. The show's official Instagram account also commented with a heart.

Sammi opted against joining the latest iteration of "Jersey Shore" on MTV, "Jersey Shore Family Vacation." At the time the show was announced, she explained she wanted to avoid "potentially toxic situations," which many assumed was a reference to her past relationship with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.

"I have chosen not to join the show this season because I am at a completely different place in my life right now focusing on my businesses and relationship," she said. "I am not the same person as I was when I was 22. At 31, I am currently extremely happy in every aspect of my life and want to avoid potentially TOXIC SITUATIONS."

"However, it was a difficult decision as I love my roomies. I've decided to focus on me, my future and what truly makes me happy," she continued. "I will forever be grateful to 'Jersey Shore' and everything it has brought to me! I've just decided to live my life for me these days. Also I am forever grateful & thankful for all of you!!! Special shoutout to my fans, but I'm not going anywhere! Follow me and stay tuned, you never know what I could be up to NEXT!"

Though she didn't film the show, she is still close with some of her former roommates. Just last month, she even visited Deena Nicole Cortese and met her costar's new baby boy.
