Reese Witherspoon Nails Impression Of Gayle King for Oprah

Reese Witherspoon has thrown her hat in the ring to play Gayle King in the inevitable future biopic.

The Oscar-winner nailed an impression of the journalist's interview of R. Kelly at the behest of Oprah Winfrey at the Apple's launch event on Monday.

After Reese announced her involvement in the tech giant's new "The Morning Show", Oprah asked if she had seen her pal King's now-infamous sit-down with the embattled R&B star.

"It was amazing," Reese gushed. "She is the calm in the eye of the storm. She was like 'I don't think so', as fellow attendees Jennifer Garner and Rashida Jones nodded in agreement.

When Oprah challenged her to do a "scene like that" on her new show, Reese instantly erased her trademark smile and engaged deadpan mode.

"This is my Gayle face. You need to sit down Robert. Robert. Robert," she instructed to the ether.

"Reese you need to do an interview like that!" a delighted Oprah reacted, before questionably suggesting: "I know what! The Morning Show should get R Kelly!"

"I don't think that's going to be possible O," Reese scorned. "He might be tied up, might be some legal issues."

Oprah's BFF Gayle came in for universal acclaim last month for her expert handling of a volatile Kelly, as she remained perfectly calm in the face of the singer's continuous outbursts.

He is currently on bail, accused of ten counts of aggravated sexual assault.
