Law enforcement officers working on the case told TMZ the shooting appears to have been gang related and that the suspect cops are looking for is a black male in his 20s. According to the publication, the man approached Nipsey by foot Sunday afternoon before firing off multiple shots. The man fled the scene in a vehicle waiting nearby. The driver of the vehicle was reportedly female.

Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed in Los Angeles on Sunday outside his clothing store, and Hollywood is in utter shock.
Law enforcement confirmed the 33-year-old rapper's death to TMZ, noting two others had been shot as well. Eyewitnesses told the publication they heard multiple shots fired before police and paramedics swarmed Marathon Store, located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of L.A. Nipsey reportedly received CPR and chest compressions on the scene.

Although the identity and motive of the shooter are currently unknown, Nipsey is said to have had ties to the Crips; however, he often collaborated with artists with rival gang affiliations, including YG and The Game.

Nipsey is survived by his two children and his girlfriend, Lauren London.
