Jon Voight thinks Trump "has made his every move correct" and that "our country is stronger, safer and with more jobs" with him as leader.
Angelina Jolie's father, Jon Voight, thinks President Donald Trump is "the greatest president" the United States has seen "since Abraham Lincoln."
In his two-part video message to the "people of the Republican Party," the 80-year-old Oscar-winning actor also said he feels Trump "has made his every move correct" and that "our country is stronger, safer and with more jobs" with him as leader.
The star of "Midnight Cowboy" and "Transformers" shared his impassioned speech on Twitter Friday night, noting that Trump's job as our nation's leader has been made difficult because he's "battling the Left and their absurd words of destruction."

People of the Republican Party: I know you will agree with me when I say our president has our utmost respect and our love. This job is not easy, for he's battling the Left and their absurd words of destruction. I've said this once, and I'll say this again -- that our nation has been built on solid ground from our forefathers, and there is a moral code of duty that has been passed on from President Lincoln.
I'm here today to acknowledge the truth, and I'm here today to tell you, my fellow Americans, that our country is stronger, safer and with more jobs because our president has made his every move correct. Don't be fooled by the political Left because we are the people of this nation that is witnessing triumph, so let us stand with our president. Let us stand up for this truth, that President Trump is the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln. God bless America, and may God continue to guide this nation.

View StoryThis isn't the first time the right-winged actor has publicly linked Trump to the nation's 16th president, who issued the Emancipation Proclamation and is responsible for ending the Civil War.
Addressing a crowd at an inauguration rally in January 2017 on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., Voight said God had "answered all our prayers" by granting Trump the White House, The Hill reported.
"And President Lincoln, who sits here with us, I'm sure is smiling knowing America will be saved by an honest and good man who will work for all the people, no matter their creed or color," Voight said.
In March of 2016, he told conservative website Breitbart News, "Donald is funny, playful, and colorful, but most of all, he is honest. He has no bull to sell, and everyone will discover the bull most politicians spew out is for their own causes and benefits."
In March of this year, Trump announced the appointment of Voight as a trustee of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, serving through 2024.

View StoryWhile Angelina -- who has had a complicated relationship with her father -- has not backed a Democratic candidate as ardently, she supports many liberal causes and is certainly at odds with her dad's political views.
As special envoy to the UN Refugee Agency, she liaises with many political leaders and has even hinted in the past that she would move further into politics herself.
When it was suggested during a BBC interview in December that she could join the Democratic slate for the 2020 Presidency, she did not reject the idea, instead replying, "Thank you."
